People are asked to sign, but it would be fair to mention the cost estimate of the bridge which I think has been made and was VERY HIGH. I'm an avid cyclist but still, taxpayer is footing the bill and projects need to be affordable.

A few years ago, the first version of the bridge that the city wanted to construct was estimated to cost about 17 million euros. Amongst other things, the cost was indeed used as one of the arguments to advocate against its construction.
The cost for the new project that the city proposed last year was then reduced to an estimated 11 million euros.
