Park Ji-hyun Becomes First Korean Female Player to Enter Australian Professional Basketball
Park recently signed a contract with the Bankstown Bruins of the NBL1 League East. The contract period is until August this year, and the annual salary will not be disclosed through mutual agreement with the club.
Park Ji-hyun, who wore Woori Bank's uniform as the first-round pick of the 2018-2019 WKBL New Player Selection, played in 158 games and played 13.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists, contributing to three regular league wins (2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2022-2023) and two championship titles (2022-2023 and 2023-2024).
After the end of the WKBL season, Park Ji-hyun, who had been seeking overseas expansion by focusing on injury rehabilitation and personal training, will join the team from the fourth week of May depending on the team's current situation.
