NON À L'EXPLOITATION PÉTROLIÈRE ET GAZIÈRE À LA FRONTIÈRE ENTRE LE CAMEROUN ET LA GUINÉE ÉQUATORIALE
Le président Paul Biya et le président guiné équatorien ont signé un accord d'exploitation pétrolière et gazière à la frontière entre le Cameroun et la Guinée équatoriale. Cet accord tout compte fait est contre les objectifs des accords de Paris qui appellent les Etats à sortir des énergies fossiles. Cet accord vise à accélérer l'exploitation du gaz d'Etinde dans le Sud ouest du pays et je parlais de ce projet gaziers d'Etinde hier à la réunion mensuelle de l'Africa Climate Movement Building space présentant la situation du Cameroun. Ce gaz sera acheminé et traité en Guinée équatoriale vers l'usine de Punta Europa. C'est ainsi l'accélération du plus grand projet gazier du Cameroun qui est annoncé ainsi que celui du méga hub gazier offshore à vocation sous régionale.
Le Cameroun a signé et ratifié les accords de Paris. Nous devons en tant que société civile unir nos forces pour appeler le président de la République camerounaise à se soustraire de cet accord.

President Paul Biya and the President of Equatorial Guinea have signed an agreement for the exploitation of oil and gas on the border between Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. This agreement, all in all, is against the objectives of the Paris agreements which call on States to get out of fossil fuels. This agreement aims to accelerate the exploitation of Etinde gas in the South West of the country and I spoke about this Etinde gas project yesterday at the monthly meeting of the Africa Climate Movement Building space presenting the situation in Cameroon. This gas will be transported and processed in Equatorial Guinea to the Punta Europa plant. It is thus the acceleration of the largest gas project in Cameroon which is announced as well as that of the mega offshore gas hub with a sub-regional vocation. Cameroon has signed and ratified the Paris Agreements. We must as civil society join forces to call on the President of the Cameroonian Republic to withdraw from this agreement.
